Public Speaking Makes Me Nervous!

Standing in front of an audience is nerve-wracking, I love this quote from Mark Twain:

“There are two types of speakers, those that are nervous and those that are liars.”

How I Reduce The Fear of Public Speaking:

So should we give up because some nervous feelings are experienced? Not on this website, so let’s explore the nervous feelings and find a way to channel it into working for us. Being too nervous speaking on stage, can reduce your chances for effective communication dramatically, so this video describes how we can take the nerves and adjust them to be useful for us.

Find an opportunity to speak in public, no matter how minor you feel it is, this is your best chance to face the nerves and test your ability to push through it. Every time you take an opportunity to speak, you’re getting closer to your goal of confident communication. Always remember:

You can’t hit a home run if you don’t swing the bat!
